Job summary

Noblesoft Technologies seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex mainframe migration initiatives across cross-functional teams. You will drive end-to-end delivery, manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholders, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

You'll coordinate Client and vendor activities, oversee testing and post-migration support, and maintain rigorous documentation and reporting. Strong leadership and technical understanding of z/OS, COBOL, and DB2 are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end migration projects for mainframe systems (z/OS, COBOL, DB2) across networking and distributed integrations.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocations with cross-project dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application, data, and business stakeholders.
• Lead Client and 3rd party service providers to align activities with milestones.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Facilitate status updates, steering committees, and executive briefings.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to data integrity, system compatibility, resources and continuity.
• Assist Client with change control processes and smooth transitions.
• Ensure migration activities adhere to standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols.
• Oversee testing, validation, and post-migration support.
• Maintain documentation including migration strategy, architecture, test plans, decisions, and lessons learned.
• Provide reporting on project health, milestones and KPIs.
• Track/open cases with IBM Support.
• Brief Project Executive leadership on blocking issues or migration risks.
