Virtusa Corporation in the United States seeks a Sr Mainframe Developer to lead technical stewardship, coding standards enforcement, and rigorous code reviews for legacy IBM z/OS architectures. You will design secure batch and online COBOL programs, optimize CICS transactions, and collaborate on exposing data via RESTful APIs.

The role requires 8+ years in mainframe software engineering, deep experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and z/OS tooling.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in IBM Mainframe software engineering.
• Experience in high-volume transactional environments (Financial Services, Healthcare, Logistics or Insurance).
• Strong knowledge of z/OS tooling, COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS and VSAM.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain highly secure batch and online programs in COBOL on IBM z/OS.
• Audit and enforce coding standards through rigorous code reviews and documentation.
• Design efficient DB2 relational tables and embedded SQL; optimize store procedures and queries.
• Collaborate to expose core mainframe data and logic via RESTful APIs using z/OS Connect or MQ.
