Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer with 8+ years of experience to support, maintain, and enhance critical mainframe applications. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor juniors, and work across middleware, databases, and DevOps practices to ensure reliability and performance.

The role covers designing and delivering mainframe solutions, troubleshooting complex integrations, and contributing to technical documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance.
Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM; SDLC methodologies; version control tools.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Service Manager, etc.) and their workflows.
Handled incidents, service requests and change requests in waterfall and agile projects.
Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration.
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications and queries.
Develop technical documentation for business and support teams.
Understand requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs.
