Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Mainframe Application Infrastructure (MAI) team. You will help develop and maintain MQ, CICS, and DB2 based infrastructure across two active sites, enabling high transactional throughput for brokerage platforms.

You will work in an agile squad, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to prioritize the backlog and deliver major initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years of mainframe development with CICS, DB2 and MQ.
• Experience designing, building, deploying and supporting mainframe apps.
• Familiarity with CICS, COBOL, VSAM, MQ, SQL; knowledge of Assembler/REXX/JCL/Java a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in a squad responsible for MQ and multi-site infrastructure software development and maintenance.
• Support mission-critical mainframe software processing millions of transactions daily.
• Participate in on-call rotation and collaborate with cross-organizational stakeholders to prioritize the backlog.
• Plan major initiatives with team leads and other groups.
