Job summary

LTIMindtree seeks a Senior Specialist - System Management to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise IBM Mainframe applications. You will work with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS, translate business requirements into technical specs, and support production activities. Agile practices and ITIL processes guide delivery.

The role emphasizes incident resolution, performance tuning, documentation, and mentoring of team members to ensure secure and reliable mainframe operations.

Qualifications

• Strong COBOL/JCL/DB2/CICS expertise required.
• Experience in incident resolution, production support, and application modernization beneficial.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and ITIL processes.
• Knowledge of insurance, life/health domains preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Analyze business requirements and translate into technical specs.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployments.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide production support.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of mainframe solutions.
• Collaborate with BAs, QA, and stakeholders; prepare technical docs and diagrams.
• Mentor junior staff and promote knowledge sharing.
