Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain complex Mainframe applications critical to enterprise functions.

The role requires collaboration across teams, adherence to SDLC and DevOps practices, and leadership in deployment and problem solving. The ideal candidate has 5–6 years of relevant experience, strong COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, MQ and IMS DB skills, and familiarity with mainframe tools like GitLab and IDz.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in mainframe development languages and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, document, and maintain complex Mainframe applications.
• Participate in architecture activities including design, estimation, planning, and roadmaps.
• Analyze requirements and implement scalable, high-performing solutions.
• Collaborate across the SDLC and DevOps environments.
• Lead deployment, release management, and mentorship of developers.
