Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Senior Mainframe Developer for Bloomington, IL. You will join the technology organization supporting mission-critical health applications with strong Mainframe development expertise and Health Insurance domain knowledge.

The role covers design, development, and production support in an Agile environment, using PL/I, IMSDB, DB2, JCL, SAS, REXX, and more. You will collaborate with Product Owners and Business Units and participate in onboarding requirements.

Qualifications

10+ years experience with PL/I, IMSDB, DB2, JCL and Sort, in health insurance domain.
Health Insurance applications development & support expertise.
Experience with COBOL, SAS, REXX, VSAM.
Agile delivery and collaboration in iterative development cycles.
Knowledge of Web services, REST API, JSON, MQ; CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support health applications using Mainframe technologies including PL/I, IMSDB, DB2, and JCL.
Provide both development and production support, including debugging and issue resolution in a live environment.
Work hands-on with SAS, REXX, JCL, and Sort to implement and maintain data processing and application logic.
Debug using IDB/IDZ and support reliable deployments by pushing code using Git.
Coordinate activity between Product owners and Business Units to drive open action items to closure.
