Job summary

Industrial Services of Peachtree City in Peachtree City, Georgia, seeks a skilled machinist to run manual mills and lathes and program/run CNC machines. You’ll build custom parts from drawings, blueprints or samples, often independently from setup through inspection.

The role requires 5+ years hands-on milling and CNC experience, reading blueprints, and precise measurement using calipers and micrometers. Regular hours Mon–Thu 7:00 AM–5:30 PM with possible overtime on Fridays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience running manual machines.
• 5+ years programming and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Strong blueprint reading and mechanical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers and other precision instruments.
• Comfort machining complex, one-off parts.

Responsibilities

• Run manual mills and lathes to machine precision parts from scratch or from drawings.
• Program and run CNC mills and lathes using G-code or conversational programming.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and part samples.
• Machine steel, stainless, aluminum and plastics.
• Work independently to design and build accurate components.
• Use CAD/CAM or G/M-code programming (Mastercam experience is a plus).
• Hold close tolerances and verify dimensions with measuring tools.
