Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking a Machinist 2 to advance manufacturing capabilities in our facility. You will perform advanced machining tasks, set up and prove out programs, and contribute to safety, quality, and productivity goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires experience, strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills, and the ability to interpret G&M codes for troubleshooting and changeovers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; typically 4–6 years of manufacturing experience or a combination of experience, education, and/or training.
• A two-year technical degree or approved apprenticeship in related coursework (i.e., CNC mill or lathe) is a plus.
• Able to interpret machine tool programming languages (G & M codes) for troubleshooting and changeovers.
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Teamwork and the ability to cooperate with others.
• Demonstrated alignment with company values.
• Employees may be assigned to other departments, shifts, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all essential functions of a Machinist 1 with increased proficiency.
• Optimize programs and processes to improve cycle time and capability.
• Set up and prove out programs from programmers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and equipment.
• Train machine operators in their assigned duties.
• Commit to health, safety, and environmental responsibilities.
