Job summary

Daniel Defense, located in Black Creek, GA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 2 to lead process design, develop and improve manufacturing methods, and ensure quality across production lines. You will work on cost, scheduling, and process optimization under the Mixed Model Production group.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering with multiple years of metalworking experience, proficiency in SolidWorks and Mastercam, and strong project management and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of manufacturing experience in metalworking environments or related training.
• Master’s degree with 2+ years of manufacturing experience in metalworking environments or related training is acceptable.
• Knowledge of GD&T and proficiency with SolidWorks/Mastercam or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test, and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods and equipment.
• Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; confer with equipment vendors as needed.
• Conduct audits of assembly and machining processes and/or work instructions; solicit observations from operators.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space, and equipment layout.
• Ensure product and process quality by designing testing methods and establishing standards.
• Prepare production and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintain equipment and processes within regulatory and company standards.
