Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 1 to operate CNC machinery and support production under supervision. You will load materials, monitor outputs, and ensure parts meet inspection standards using precision tools.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to procedures in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates have a GED or high school diploma, basic CNC exposure, and the ability to learn new techniques while maintaining high quality and productivity

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: 1+ years CNC experience or related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to pass basic skills assessment in Mathematics, Metrology, Blueprint Reading, and Operator Work Instructions.
• Knowledge of standard manufacturing concepts and procedures.
• Manual dexterity to perform all job functions.
• Ability to work in a team and cooperate with others.
• Flexibility to learn new processes and adapt to shifts.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery (mill/lathe/gun drill) in designated area.
• Load and unload raw materials into CNC equipment safely.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Monitor machines for unusual sounds or vibrations and report issues.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the area.
• Record production quantities and timekeeping accurately.
• Follow SOPs, travelers, inspection sheets, and PM logs.
