Job summary

Eaton is seeking an Operator III for the 2nd shift in North Carolina. The role involves set up and operation of multiple machine types to shape parts, with a starting hourly rate of $21.90. This position requires reading blueprints, following routings, and basic math to ensure tolerances are met.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, training, and supporting production programs, along with quality inspections and preventive maintenance. ITAR compliance and physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in Manufacturing setting.
• ITAR: must be a US person and permitted to work in the US.
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Able to read drawings, follow routers, and perform basic math with measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate automatic, semi-automatic, and manual machines to shape parts.
• Study blueprints and specs to determine tolerances and setup requirements.
• Start, monitor, and adjust machine operations to detect malfunctions.
• Provide training and programming support on production jobs.
• Inspect and identify non-conforming material and investigate quality issues.
• Use micrometers and calipers to measure parts and verify accuracy.
• Adjust tooling and programs to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery (oil, clean).
• Train other operators as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
