Eaton Group is seeking an Operator I for the 3rd shift in North Carolina. The role focuses on setting up and operating various machines to produce quality parts per specifications, with attention to gauges and calipers during inspections.

Basic requirements include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read blueprints. ITAR compliance is required; lifting up to 35 lbs and standing for extended periods are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments.
• ITAR compliance: US person status required.
• Stand/walk for long periods up to 8 hours.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
• Preferred: prior machine-operating in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up, start, monitor, and troubleshoot machines to maintain in-tolerance machining.
• Operate a variety of machines as directed by supervisor or lead.
• Complete changeovers and material feed-through.
• Complete first piece inspections and machine guarding checklists.
• Use gauges and calipers to verify conformance to specs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
