Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Wire Machine Operator for the 2nd shift at our Arden, NC facility. The role involves operating and setting up PLC/analog/manual machines, interpreting orders and drawings, and ensuring safety and quality in production.

Responsibilities include performing TPM/5S+, maintaining tooling, and training new operators while adhering to lean manufacturing practices. Salary is $21 per hour, with standard benefits and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills – Word, Internet, etc.
• Immigration sponsorship or CPT/OPT not offered.
• Relocation not offered; within 50 miles of Arden, NC.

Responsibilities

• Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations.
• Understand / receive work assignments from supervisor.
• Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual machines.
• Operate equipment to produce parts.
• Interpret work orders, Kanban cards, and drawings.
• Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation.
• Inspect final component against work specs.
• Perform operator maintenance on machining equipment.
• Report abnormalities and submit maintenance work orders.
• Provide on-the-job training for new operators.
• Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily.
• Complete any other tasks from management or leads.
