Job summary

Elanco seeks a Senior Analytical Sciences Leader for the TSMS laboratory at the Elwood, KS facility. You will lead scientists, drive DoE-based improvements, and ensure safe, quality operations across manufacturing processes.

You will collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve technical challenges and advance productivity while maintaining compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• MS in Analytical Science, Pharmacy, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in biotechnology process development or manufacturing technology.
• Experience in monoclonal antibody (mAb) process development and analytical development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of scientists with focus on high-quality results.
• Oversee daily TSMS laboratory operations ensuring efficiency and quality
• Maintain calibration and inventory of lab equipment and supplies
• Apply DoE to design studies to improve processes and productivity
• Collaborate with site Quality to maintain laboratory standards and audits
• Partner with QA, QC, Engineering, Supply Chain, R&D and Manufacturing to resolve issues
• Apply scientific reasoning and troubleshoot process challenges
• Ensure compliance with quality, procedures, safety, and regulations
• Stay current with scientific, tech, and regulatory developments
