Job summary

Elanco in Elwood, KS is seeking a Senior Analytical Sciences Leader to oversee the TSMS laboratory at a monoclonal antibody manufacturing site. You will lead scientists, drive DoE-based optimization, and partner with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to improve cycle time, productivity, and gross margin.

The role requires an MS in Analytical Science or related field with 8+ years in biotech process development or manufacturing technology, and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• MS in Analytical Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in biotechnology process development or manufacturing technology.
• Experience with mAb process development and analytical development.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong analytical reasoning, experimental design, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of scientists to ensure high-quality, reproducible results.
• Oversee daily TSMS lab operations ensuring safe, efficient experiments per SOPs.
• Maintain calibration, maintenance, and inventory of lab equipment.
• Apply DoE to design studies to improve processes, cycle time, and production capacity.
• Collaborate with Quality, QA, QC, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and HSE requirements; stay current with regulatory developments.
