Job summary

Astreya is seeking a seasoned M365 Engineer to manage enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environments from Santa Clara, California, with optional remote work. You will oversee SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Purview governance, guiding policy and security across a large user base.

The role requires deep technical expertise, scripting ability, and familiarity with zero-trust principles to ensure compliant, reliable collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 at enterprise scale (large commercial tenants, 10K+ users).
• Deep technical expertise in SharePoint Online and OneDrive administration, including information architecture and governance.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Teams administration, voice/telephony, and policy management.
• Experience with Microsoft Purview (Compliance Center) — DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, eDiscovery.
• Hands-on experience with Viva Insights configuration, org data management, and privacy-safe analytics delivery.
• Strong scripting skills: PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API; automation frameworks.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, Conditional Access, and RBAC.
• Solid understanding of zero-trust security principles applied to collaboration platforms.
