Job summary

Franklin Fitch is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Migration & Client Solutions Engineer to lead migrations across multiple client environments, spanning tenant-to-tenant migrations, domain transitions, and governance.

You will own engagements from discovery through delivery, lead customer meetings, and advise on architecture, security and identity policies, while delivering Teams telephony and Entra ID solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Microsoft 365 experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise across Entra ID, Conditional Access and Microsoft 365 identity.
• Experience delivering Microsoft 365 migrations, ideally including tenant-to-tenant projects.
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.

Senior Microsoft 365 Migration & Client Solutions Engineer | Massachusetts / New England | Hybrid | $130,000 to $170,000 base + bonus

We are partnering with a well-established technology consultancy and managed services provider to hire a Senior Microsoft 365 Migration & Client Solutions Engineer into its growing Microsoft Cloud practice.

This is a senior, hands-on position combining Microsoft 365 engineering, project delivery and client consulting. You will work across multiple customer environments, taking ownership of migrations and Microsoft 365 initiatives while also acting as a trusted technical advisor to clients.

The team is looking for someone who can hit the ground running technically, but equally importantly can lead customer meetings, communicate with senior stakeholders and take ownership of engagements from discovery through delivery and support.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver Microsoft 365 projects across multiple customer environments, including tenant-to-tenant migrations, consolidations and domain transitions
• Own projects through discovery, design, planning, migration, cutover, validation and post-migration support
• Work extensively across Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Microsoft Entra ID
• Design and support Entra ID, Conditional Access, authentication and identity policies
• Deliver Teams telephony projects, including migrations, call groups and associated configuration
• Perform Microsoft 365 migrations using tools such as BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, Quest, AvePoint or similar platforms
• Split your time across project work and complex escalated support, giving you exposure to a broad range of technologies and customer environments
• Lead customer discovery sessions, technical workshops, project meetings and presentations
• Advise customers on Microsoft 365 architecture, security, governance and best practices
• Automate administration and delivery activities using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph
• Produce technical designs, migration plans, runbooks and customer documentation
• Collaborate with engineers across cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 engineer or consultant who combines strong technical capability with excellent customer-facing skills.

Ideally, you will bring:

• 5+ years of Microsoft 365 experience
• Strong hands-on expertise across Entra ID, Conditional Access and Microsoft 365 identity
• Experience delivering Microsoft 365 migrations, ideally including tenant-to-tenant projects
• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
• Experience with migration technologies such as BitTitan MigrationWiz, ShareGate, Quest or AvePoint
• Exposure to Teams Voice / Teams Telephony
• Strong PowerShell skills, with Microsoft Graph experience advantageous
• The ability to independently troubleshoot complex Microsoft 365 issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience working within an MSP, IT consultancy or professional services environment is highly desirable, although strong candidates from internal enterprise environments will still be considered.

Experience with Microsoft Purview, Intune, Defender, Copilot readiness or Azure would be beneficial but is not essential. The primary focus of this position is Microsoft 365 rather than Azure infrastructure.

Technical capability alone will not make someone successful in this role.

You should be comfortable walking into a customer environment, understanding their challenges and becoming a trusted technical advisor. You will regularly interact with both technical and senior business stakeholders, so the ability to simplify complex technology and communicate recommendations clearly is important.

You will also need to be adaptable and composed when projects become challenging, taking ownership of problems and managing customer expectations professionally.

Location

The position offers a flexible hybrid model, with an expectation of approximately one day per week in the Massachusetts office, although there can be flexibility around exact cadence. Occasional travel to customer sites across the region will also be required.
