Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to serve as the technical lead for Microsoft 365 collaboration, identity, and endpoint management technologies. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and governing the organization's Microsoft 365 environment while providing mentorship and technical leadership to the broader IT team. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise across Microsoft 365 with a practical, hands‑on approach to execution and a passion for helping organizations mature their technology capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Identity & Access Management

• Lead strategy, administration, and optimization of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Evaluate and improve hybrid identity architecture and governance.
• Design and implement security groups, role‑based access controls, and directory governance.
• Support domain consolidation and acquisition integration initiatives.
• Serve as the primary SME for SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and OneDrive.
• Design and implement collaboration and governance standards.
• Lead file share migrations into SharePoint Online.
• Improve Teams adoption, document management, and collaboration effectiveness.
• Support Exchange administration and conference room/resource management.
• Lead Intune administration and optimization.
• Improve endpoint compliance, patch management, and device governance.
• Support Microsoft Defender and broader security initiatives.Assist with BitLocker deployment and endpoint protection strategies.

Architecture & Strategic Initiatives

• Develop roadmaps and best practices for Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Support Microsoft 365 modernization initiatives across the organization.
• Assist with acquisition‑related migration and integration efforts.
• Establish governance frameworks for Power Platform and related Microsoft technologies.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and technical staff.
• Establish standards, documentation, and operational best practices.
• Partner with IT leadership to align technology solutions with business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise Microsoft environments.
