Job summary

UGE International is seeking a Senior M&A professional at the Associate Director or Director level to lead the acquisition of distributed generation solar and energy storage assets. You will originate deals through an established network, underwrite and model opportunities, and drive transactions from first contact to close.

The role requires 20-30% travel and is hybrid for candidates in NYC or Denver, with a path to senior leadership within a growing, NOVA-backed platform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of DG solar/storage M&A, corporate development, project finance, or investing.
• Deep DG solar & storage expertise across markets, policy, and investment theses.
• Ability to form and articulate rigorous investment theses for projects and portfolios.
• Existing network with developers, brokers, IPPs, and capital providers.
• Experience underwriting acquisitions and building complex financial models.

Responsibilities

• Originate acquisition opportunities and build a proprietary pipeline.
• Underwrite projects and portfolios, develop and review detailed financial models.
• Structure transactions to maximize value (purchase price, earn-outs, holdbacks).
• Lead end-to-end deal execution from LOI to closing and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
• Monitor market, policy, and incentives and translate into strategy.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to refine acquisition criteria and target markets.
