Job description

RGP has partnered with a major technology organization in identifying a Senior M&A Finance Consultant who can lead finance workstreams across the full M&A lifecycle — from diligence through close and post‑close integration.

The ideal professional is a strategic business partner with deep financial acumen, transaction advisory experience, and a track record of driving alignment across global Finance and cross‑functional teams.

This engagement sits at the intersection of finance diligence, deal execution, and integration program management, requiring strong judgment, problem‑solving skills, and stakeholder agility.

What you will work on
  • Lead finance activities across acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic initiatives — including diligence, deal planning, close readiness, and post‑close execution.
  • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence on targets: historical and forecast performance, working capital, cash flow, and transaction fundamentals.
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and Legal teams to support decision‑making and ensure finance readiness.
  • Provide finance input on deal structures, purchase‑price adjustments, funds‑flow mechanics, escrows, and closing requirements.
  • Translate diligence findings into actionable recommendations and integration roadmaps for leadership.
  • Coordinate Day 1 finance operations across Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, Payroll, and Treasury functions.
  • Develop and execute integration governance, milestone tracking, and risk‑management processes for accelerated value realization.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve and standardize M&A finance processes, tools, and templates across transactions.
What you will bring
  • 9+ years across M&A finance, transaction advisory, strategic finance, or corporate FP&A.
  • Proven success supporting transactions through financial diligence, modeling, and post‑close integration.
  • Strong analytical and business‑judgment skills; able to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional projects across multiple finance disciplines.
  • Deep understanding of core finance processes (R2R, O2C, P2P, FP&A, Treasury, Tax).
  • Highly effective communicator comfortable engaging senior leadership and multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Expertise in negotiation of deal‑related financial terms (working‑capital peg, cash requirements, purchase‑price mechanics).
  • Advanced proficiency with enterprise finance tools and reporting systems.
  • Continuous‑improvement orientation with experience enhancing finance governance and operating models.
  • CPA, MBA, or other advanced credential preferred.
  • Prior experience within technology, software, SaaS, or cloud‑services environments beneficial.
What you can expect
  • An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
  • Compensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
  • Total Rewards include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).
