Job summary

A&O Shearman is seeking exceptional senior-level associates to join its US M&A practice. Represent clients in complex corporate transactions, lead various deal components, and act as a client-facing team member with strong drafting and negotiation skills.

The ideal candidate has a strong corporate M&A background and will manage deals, using comprehensive knowledge of transactions and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the California bar in good standing.
• Prev. corporate M&A experience, either at a firm or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in mergers, acquisitions, and venture capital financings.
• Draft, review and negotiate primary and ancillary transaction documents.
• Assist due diligence and logistical prep for signing/closing.
• Communicate with stakeholders on issues and documents.
