Job summary

A&O Shearman’s corporate M&A practice in the US seeks exceptional senior-level associates to join its growing team in Dallas, supporting complex transactions and leading deal work. The role emphasizes client-facing responsibilities and tight collaboration with partners and clients.

The ideal candidate will hold a JD from an accredited law school, be admitted to the Texas bar, and bring prior corporate M&A experience.

Qualifications

• A JD from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted, in good standing, to the Texas bar.
• Previous corporate M&A experience either at a firm or in-house.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and venture capital financings.
• Draft, review and negotiate primary and ancillary transaction documents.
• Assist in managing due diligence and signing/closing logistics.
• Communicate with appropriate audiences on open issues and transaction documents.
