Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
• Valid State license to practice nursing.
• I.V. certification preferred.
• Must be able to write and speak English.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
• Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours.
• Must be able to lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of your assigned unit.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.
• Maintain residents' rights and confidentiality.
• Assist in care planning, discharge planning, and documentation.
• Greet, orient, and assist new admissions and transfers.
• Report incidents, participate in safety and infection control activities.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other departments to maintain quality care.
