Job summary

Avir at Lufkin seeks a proactive nurse supervisor to provide direct patient care and oversee daily nursing activities in a long-term care setting. You will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and maintain the facility's policies and procedures under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating care plans, and participating in infection control and safety initiatives to sustain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
• Valid State license to practice nursing.
• IV certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents as necessary.
• Ensure nursing services policies are followed and reflect day-to-day care procedures.
• Review complaints and grievances and implement necessary changes.
• Participate in development and maintenance of infection control and universal precautions.
