Job summary

Avir Trilogy in Mexia, Texas is seeking an experienced licensed practical nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise the day-to-day activities of the unit. You will ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care.

Lead staff in delivering resident-centered care, participate in care planning, and uphold the Nursing Services Policies and Procedures Manual to maintain high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
• Valid State license to practice nursing.
• IV certification preferred.
• Must be able to write and speak the English language.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities on the assigned unit.
• Ensure supervision and guidance are in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations governing long-term care facilities.
• Direct the unit's operational activities and ensure adherence to the Nursing Services Policies and Procedures Manual.
• Participate in development and maintenance of discharge plans and resident care plans.
• Inspect and maintain safe, clean, and sanitary nursing areas and report deficiencies.
• Participate in infection control and universal precautions to ensure resident safety.
