Job summary

Avir at Hico is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct nursing care to residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities on the assigned unit. This role ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local standards and facility policies.

You will oversee the nursing staff, maintain resident rights, and participate in care planning and safety initiatives to uphold high-quality care within a long-term care setting in Texas.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
• Valid State license to practice nursing.
• I.V. certification preferred.
• Must be able to write and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities of the assigned unit.
• Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local standards and facility policies.
• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing activities and reflect current procedures.
• Maintain residents' rights as set by the Texas Department of Health Laws and Regulations.
• Inspect rooms and supplies and report deficiencies to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of care plans and resident assessments.
