Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in San Antonio is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse II to provide nursing care at the State Supported Living Center campus. You will administer medications, perform complex nursing tasks, and support other staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a LVN program.
• Licensed to practice as a licensed vocational nurse in Texas or a state with reciprocity.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Trains and mentors new LVN staff.
• Documents care and observations in the electronic health record.
• Provides care for individuals with complex medical, mental health, or behavioral health needs.
