Job summary

The RealReal is seeking a Fine Jewelry & Watch Specialist to authenticate and appraise luxury jewelry and watches with precision. You will inspect items, identify colored stones and diamonds, and set price guidance in collaboration with the team.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of fine jewelry or watch experience.
Experience with Diamonds required (selling, grading, pricing).
GIA coursework in Diamond & Diamond Grading preferred.
Colored stones experience preferred.
Appraisal experience preferred.
Vision, depth of field perception, magnification and color perception.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Computer and data entry skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Outstanding work ethic and ability to meet daily goals.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Authenticate luxury fine jewelry items in low or high risk categories.
Execute authentication using jewelry knowledge and testing procedures.
Inspect consigned luxury products for condition and materials.
Utilize reference guides and historical data.
Research fair market value and market demand.
Set list prices for branded and unbranded jewelry with expert direction and final approval.
Enter product measurements and fabrication details into the system.
Support pricing using TRR methodologies and market data.
Achieve production targets.
Contribute to process and system improvements through feedback.
