Job summary

The RealReal, Inc. is seeking a Fine Jewelry & Watch Specialist in Secaucus, NJ. You will authenticate luxury jewelry and watches, assess condition, and verify materials with GIA-backed methods. You’ll set prices, review data, and support pricing strategies while meeting daily targets in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in the field, diamond experience, and familiarity with colored stones and appraisals. On-site role with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in fine jewelry or watch authentication.
• Experience with diamonds required (selling, grading, pricing).
• GIA coursework preferred (Diamond and Diamond Grading).
• Experience with colored stones preferred.
• Appraisal experience preferred.
• Strong visual acuity and color perception.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong data entry and computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management.
• Confident communicator with collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Authenticate luxury fine jewelry in low/high risk categories.
• Identify colored stones and diamonds using GIA techniques and metal testing.
• Inspect consigned items for condition and quality.
• Use reference guides and historical data.
• Research fair market value and demand for jewelry.
• Set list prices with direction and final approval.
• Data entry for product measurements and fabrication.
• Support pricing using TRR methodology and market value.
• Attain production targets.
• Assist process improvements through feedback and testing.
