Job summary

STARK in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an experienced Luxury Carpet Sales Professional to drive trade sales for our showroom. You will advise interior designers and architects on carpet attributes, build client relationships and craft strategic plans to win business.

The role offers base pay commensurate with experience plus opportunity for commissions and performance incentives. Strong knowledge of carpets and design trends is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have strong relationships with interior design clientele.
• Experience selling to the trade or 5 years trade sales if education is limited.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
• Advanced knowledge of carpet qualities and manufacturing techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on product attributes and qualities relevant to their needs.
• Identify potential clients and create strategic client-centric marketing plans.
• Cold call potential clients and prepare visit reports, assessing purchasing potential.
• Collaborate on company core messaging to clients.
• Develop event strategy and lead client events with budget control.
• Prepare sales documents and assist with layouts for installation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
