Job summary

Legacy Healthcare seeks an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead a skilled nursing facility in Illinois. The role oversees operations, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and quality of care to ensure safe, compassionate resident services.

The LNHA directs the interdisciplinary team, maintains survey readiness, manages budgets, and collaborates with clinical leadership to optimize resident outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted LNHA license in the applicable state.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related field preferred.
• Experience leading in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state nursing facility regulations and survey processes.
• Experience managing staff, budgets, quality initiatives, and facility operations.
• Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, employees, physicians, and regulatory agencies.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard business/administrative software.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and day-to-day operational management of the nursing facility.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including CMS and licensing requirements.
• Maintain a strong culture of resident-centered care, safety, dignity, and quality.
• Lead and support department directors, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor clinical, operational, staffing, and quality metrics and implement corrective action.
• Oversee development and evaluation of facility policies and procedures.
• Prepare for and manage regulatory surveys, audits, inspections, and complaint investigations.
• Develop and monitor the facility's annual operating budget, census goals, labor costs, and financial performance.
• Partner with Nursing leadership to promote quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor staffing, recruitment, retention, engagement, and workforce performance.
• Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, hospitals, vendors, and community organizations.
• Oversee QAPI activities and continuous improvement.
