Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) is seeking a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of communications systems on various projects. You will work with the project team to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards.

The role requires strong communication skills, hands-on technical capabilities, and the ability to mentor less experienced team members. This is a safety-sensitive position with on-site responsibilities and potential 24/7 service support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technology experience within CEC or similar company.
• 1+ years of leadership experience within CEC or similar company.
• 3 safety related certifications (preferred).
• 2 Industry certifications (e.g., NICET, Bicsi, CTS) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the physical installation of communications systems on assigned projects.
• Review project information with key personnel to address questions and unknowns.
• Coordinate resources, site access, PPE requirements and equipment with Project Manager.
• Oversee site walks to verify locations and identify safety hazards.
• Lead daily work plans, safety practices, and ensure project plan compliance.
• Inspect installations to CEC quality standards and mentor team members.
• Create project punch lists, perform system testing, and finalize documentation.
• Assist with onsite training and hand-offs to customers.
• Support post-project reviews and provide process improvement input.
• Support on-call service rotation as needed.
