Job summary

Communications Engineering Company (CEC) seeks a Systems Specialist to lead the physical installation of communications systems on assigned projects in Charlotte, NC. You will work with the project team to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to industry codes and best practices.

You will review project plans with customers, coordinate resources, and perform site evaluations, safety inspections, and testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technology experience within a similar company.
• 1+ years of leadership experience within a similar company.
• 3 safety-related certifications (preferred).
• 2 industry certifications (NICET, Bicsi, CTS, etc.) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review project information with key personnel to address questions and unknowns as required.
• Plan projects: evaluate potential problems, impact, and solutions; coordinate resources, PPE, and equipment with the Project Manager.
• Review system functionality, schedule, and plan with the customer; oversee site walk-throughs for safety hazards.
• Lead daily work plans, ensure safe work practices, and maintain project plan compliance.
• Inspect project installations and ensure adherence to CEC quality standards; mentor responsible parties.
• Create project punch lists, perform testing, coordinate training, and finalize documentation.
• Provide onsite training and mentor less experienced team members.
• Support service tickets and participate in CEC's 24/7 On-Call rotation.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
