Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior-level electrical/low-voltage engineer in the United States (Arizona) to lead design efforts for IT structured cabling, A/V, security, and other low-voltage systems. You will develop detailed designs, calculations, and specifications while ensuring compliance with codes and IMEG standards.

You will mentor team members, perform site assessments, review designs, and communicate complex technical information to clients. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related STEM field.
• Minimum 7 years experience in building design consulting; 8+ preferred.
• 11 years experience in building design consulting or construction industry.
• Associates degree or BIM/Engineering certificate preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in producing technical plans and specifications.
• Strong IT/networking knowledge as it relates to low-voltage systems design.
• Excellent communications and leadership skills.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and low-voltage building systems
• Develop detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to codes and IMEG standards
• Perform site assessments and prepare technical analyses and reports
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and build relationships
• Review designs and specifications during the design process
• Apply quality control processes to ensure standards compliance
• Provide technical training and mentoring to team members
• Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies
• Identify and mitigate safety risks in ICT systems
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Participate in project interviews and presentations
