Job summary

Core Scientific seeks an experienced Low Voltage Designer to lead telecom and low‑voltage infrastructure strategy across our data center portfolio. You will set design standards, oversee cabling, fiber, OSP, security, BAS/EPMS, and DAS, and manage cross‑functional teams through design, construction, and turnover.

The role requires a strong background in data center infrastructure, project management, and stakeholder collaboration, with travel to multiple campus locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of telecommunications infrastructure design and implementation experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience supporting hyperscale data centers or large campus infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, OSP design, security, BAS/EPMS, and DAS.

Responsibilities

• Establish and improve telecommunications and low‑voltage design standards and templates.
• Lead design and development of cabling, fiber, OSP, security, BAS/EPMS, and DAS systems.
• Review drawings, schematics, and installation requirements for compliance with standards.
• Manage full project lifecycle from planning through turnover.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Define scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource needs.
• Develop material and procurement strategies; monitor milestones and quality metrics.
• Provide technical direction and act as SME during construction and inspections.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
