Job summary

Core Scientific seeks a seasoned Low Voltage Designer to lead strategy, design, and deployment of telecommunications and low‑voltage infrastructure across our data center portfolio. You will set design standards, lead multidisciplinary teams, review construction documents, and ensure reliability and scalability for hyperscale environments.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and vendor engagement, while mentoring internal design resources and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 7+ years of telecommunications infrastructure design and implementation experience, including leadership roles.
• Experience with hyperscale data centers or large campus infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling, fiber optics, OSP, security, BAS/EPMS, and DAS.

Responsibilities

• Establish and update telecommunications and low‑voltage design standards and templates.
• Lead design of cabling, fiber, OSP, MDF/IDF, security, BAS/EPMS, DAS, and related systems.
• Review documents and provide technical oversight for drawings, schematics, and room layouts.
• Ensure compliance with BICSI, ANSI/TIA, ASIS standards.
• Manage full project lifecycle from planning to turnover.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects on time and budget.
• Define scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Develop BOMs, cost estimates, and procurement strategies.
• Monitor milestones, risks, and quality metrics.
• Provide technical direction and SME support during construction.
