Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking a Senior Loss Control Consultant to perform on-site inspections and produce in-depth reports for underwriting commercial buildings and business operations. You will evaluate property, inland marine, CGL and workers' compensation exposures and identify risk trends and corrective actions.

The role includes risk improvement services, training and regulatory assessments, plus uploading reports and diagrams through web-based systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience with a major carrier or independent contractor.
• Extensive understanding of commercial property and casualty lines.
• Ability to assess sprinkler systems, inland marine, CGL and workers' compensation exposures.
• Ability to analyze loss trends, root causes and corrective actions.
• Preferred but not required: CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and prepare in-depth reports for underwriting of commercial buildings and operations.
• Conduct risk improvement services including training, consulting, hazard analysis and regulatory assessments.
• Upload completed reports, photos and diagrams through a web portal or web-based systems.
• Travel within a 50-mile radius to cover contractors, real estate, retail, warehouse, and manufacturing contexts.
