Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support the automation platforms across our distribution center network. You will lead critical projects for Warehouse Execution and Control Systems, AutoStore, and industrial controls, ensuring high availability and scalable performance.

You will partner with Distribution Center Operations, Engineering, and external vendors, driving modernization initiatives and rigorous incident analysis in a 24x7 environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, automation platforms, or logistics technology environments.
• 5+ years experience with Warehouse Management, Warehouse Execution, or Warehouse Control Systems.
• Experience supporting high-availability production systems in a 24x7 operational environment.
• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale software implementations and system integrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier III support for mission-critical Supply Chain systems operating in 24x7 fulfillment environments.
• Lead root cause analysis for production incidents involving automation, controls, integrations, or warehouse execution functions.
• Analyze application logs, database activity, message queues, interface traffic, PLC communication, and vendor diagnostics.
• Execute disaster recovery, rollback, and business continuity procedures as required.
• Support expansion, optimization, and operational readiness of AutoStore environments.
• Partner with robotics vendors and operational teams to improve system availability and throughput.
• Design infrastructure, controls, networking, and redundancy improvements supporting future AutoStore growth.
• Assist with validation, testing, and deployment of new AutoStore functionality and infrastructure enhancements.
• Lead medium to large-scale projects supporting Distribution Center modernization initiatives.
• Create technical documentation, deployment procedures, and testing strategies.
• Coordinate activities across vendors, operations teams, infrastructure teams, and project management organizations.
