Job summary

Beshenich Muir & Associates seeks a Forward Planner to support the LOGCAP program at Fort Knox, KY. The role requires performing independent research, coordinating operations, and developing contract requirement packages for sustainment activities.

The ideal candidate brings ten years of Army logistics planning experience, proficiency with JOPP, and strong MS Word/PowerPoint/Excel skills. Travel up to 25% and a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years’ experience working in support of a Joint, U.S. Army, or component-level headquarters.
• Graduates of ILE MEL4 and Support Operations Course (Phase 2) with logistics deployment experience.
• Possess a functional understanding of the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP).
• Broad knowledge of the Army sustainment enterprise and its relation to other HQs to ensure strategic communication.
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent in-depth research and analysis of current and emerging policy, regulations, directives, or industrial issues.
• Assist with the management of day-to-day operations, synchronization, and coordination for the LOGCAP program.
• Develop and maintain LOGCAP contract requirements packages (technical data packages, exhibits, diagrams, etc.).
• Review, prepare analyses, coordinate and develop draft staff actions and requests for information; prepare or review briefings and memos per Army regulations and collaborate with the local LOGCAP Planner.
• Perform research and draft responses to inquiries; monitor events involving new and ongoing operations and exercise requirements.
• Prepare briefings and special studies; monitor and track changing LOGCAP requirements.
