Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Winlock, WA, is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to provide operational leadership to hourly staff, oversee driver deliveries, loading/unloading, cross-docking and customer service, and ensure tasks align with cost objectives.

You will supervise processes, participate in hiring, review trips and orders, travel up to 20-25%, and work Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with flexibility. The role offers bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits plan.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years related functional experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Strong written/oral communication and organizational skills required.
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
• Willingness to travel as necessary and pass background/drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Communicate performance standards, interview hourly associates and advise on hiring, monitor attendance and productivity, provide counseling or recognition as needed.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, freight loading/unloading, dispatch, documentation and process control; improve methods to boost dispatch/warehouse productivity; provide training and coverage as needed.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, monitor overtime and activity to meet productivity targets, manage costs and inventory accuracy.
• Ensure safety alignment with location strategy and provide training and direction for safe performance; comply with regulations and policies.
• Understand location goals and support continuous improvement initiatives, align with customer objectives.
• Plan fleet/warehouse use and ensure hourly staff understand safe operation of equipment.
