Job summary

• Demonstrated leadership qualities with strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with associates and customers.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with good time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage problems, think critically, and make independent decisions.
• Ability to drive process improvement and lead change.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Must demonstrate ownership and responsibility to run the operation with urgency.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential; travel as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership to hourly workforce to ensure execution of daily tasks including driver deliveries and loading/unloading.
• Supervise logistics operations including customer service, dispatch, documentation and procedure control.
• Conduct team meetings and provide coaching to associates for productivity improvements.
• Evaluate and recommend changes to increase dispatch productivity and assist in training new hires.
• Manage overtime and ensure achievement of productivity targets while controlling labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, financial policies and site operating systems.
