Job summary

Meridian Bioscience International Limited is seeking a Logistics Manager in Memphis, TN to oversee all inbound and outbound transportation activities, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods. You will lead shipping operations, manage carriers, and coordinate inbound logistics with Procurement to support uninterrupted supply and customer fulfillment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics in a regulated environment.
• Experience leading teams or projects in manufacturing, operations, or logistics.
• Experience in GMP, FDA, ISO, quality, or compliance environments.
• Experience using ERP or operational systems to support decisions.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to performance, quality, and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead all outbound shipping operations, ensuring accurate and compliant delivery of finished goods.
• Coordinate inbound logistics with suppliers, ensuring timely material delivery.
• Manage carrier relationships (parcel, LTL, FTL, international) to optimize cost and service.
• Negotiate freight rates and evaluate carrier performance using key metrics.
• Oversee import/export activities with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, QSR, ISO and company policies, including documentation.
• Own and resolve shipping-related customer complaints with timely communication.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Procurement, Customer Service, Quality, and Manufacturing.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time delivery, transit times, and freight costs.
• Identify process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure accurate ERP transactions and shipment tracking.
• Lead and develop shipping personnel, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
