Job summary

Fabick Cat in Butler, Wisconsin is seeking a Sr. Transportation Coordinator to coordinate transportation for rental equipment and negotiate rates with outside vendors. You will help control costs and ensure timely delivery across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years in heavy equipment/rental, and strong vendor negotiation and communication skills. This is a full-time, on-site role with responsibilities across several states.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in a similar role in heavy equipment/rental industry required.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and the rental business.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work outside normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Schedule transportation of equipment for all Rental locations, deciding on internal drivers vs. outside haulers.
• Track, communicate, and help control Rental Services costs for transportation.
• Communicate with customers about shipment locations and delays.
• Schedule transfers between Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Upper Peninsula Michigan for Rental & Used departments.
• Research, evaluate, negotiate, and select outside haulers to meet transportation needs.
• Assist in negotiating new contracts with dedicated fleet companies.
• Develop and assist Leadership Team to mold behaviors of Coordinators and Sales Team to maximize freight recovery.
• Develop, improve and implement processes to help freight recovery numbers.
• Develop and implement efficiencies while driving down transportation costs.
• All other duties as assigned.
