Fabick Cat in Wisconsin is seeking a Sr. Transportation Coordinator to coordinate transportation for rental equipment. You will negotiate rates with outside vendors and manage schedules across Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The role emphasizes controlling transportation costs, communicating with customers about shipment status, and collaborating with leadership to improve freight recovery and processes.

Formación

• 3+ years in a similar role and industry.
• Heavy equipment and rental business experience preferred.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and the rental business.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule transportation for Rental locations and decide on internal drivers vs. outside haulers.
• Track and help control transportation costs for Rental Services.
• Communicate shipment locations and delays to customers.
• Schedule transfers across MO, IL, WI, and Upper Peninsula MI for Rental & Used.
• Research, evaluate, negotiate and select outside haulers for transportation needs.
• Assist in negotiating contracts with dedicated fleet companies.
• Support Leadership Team to mold coordinator and sales team behaviors for freight recovery.
• Develop and implement processes to improve freight recovery and cut costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Sr. Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating transportation for the rental equipment. Is responsible for negotiating rates with outside vendors.

Responsibilities

• Schedule transportation of equipment for all Rental locations in determining whether or not to use internal drivers and/or outside hauling when necessary to ensure equipment is delivered as expected.
• Responsible for tracking, communicating and helping to control Rental Services costs for transportation.
• Communicate with customers as to the location of shipments and if shipments are going to be running late.
• Schedule transfers between Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Upper Peninsula Michigan for Rental & Used departments.
• Researches, evaluates, negotiates and determines the proper outside haulers to fill transportation needs.
• Assist in the negotiation of new contracts with dedicated fleet companies.
• Develop and assist Leadership Team to mold behaviors of Coordinators and Sales Team to maximize freight recovery.
• Develop, improve and implement processes to help freight recovery numbers.
• Develop and implement efficiencies while driving down overall transportation costs.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree required.
• Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• 3 plus years in a similar role/capacity and industry required
• Heavy equipment and the rental business experience preferred
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and the rental business
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work outside normal business hours
