J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking an Expert Logistics Engineer, Managed Logistics in Lowell, AR. You will apply strong engineering techniques and quantitative methods to deliver best practices and act as a subject matter expert for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities include interpreting business issues, solving complex problems, leading interdisciplinary projects, and mentoring junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement durable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, MIS, Mathematics or Statistics or related field, or foreign equivalent, with 5 years experience in IE or related field; or Master's with 3 years experience.
• Experience with data visualization software, statistics, OR, LP, forecasting, predictive modeling, SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME to interpret business issues and provide optimal engineering solutions.
• Evaluate and solve complex problems using quantitative methods.
• Lead and support interdisciplinary projects to achieve goals.
• Present complex technical information to internal/external stakeholders.
• Build relationships with customers to influence decisions and strategy.
• Train, mentor, coach, and onboard junior team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
