J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Senior Logistics Engineer in Lowell, Arkansas. The role applies industrial engineering and analytics to design complex transportation networks and optimize operations, coordinating with customers and internal teams to drive value.

You will mentor junior engineers and lead large projects, translating business needs into practical, innovative solutions while communicating findings to stakeholders and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, or related field, with 5 years in Industrial Engineering or related field and experience in data visualization, statistics, OR, LP, forecasting, predictive modeling, databases and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex transportation, network, and operational solutions that drive significant business value.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in transportation network design and solution development, guiding stakeholders through complex challenges.
• Solve highly complex business problems using analytics, modeling, optimization, and simulation techniques.
• Mentor and guide engineers, contributing to best practices and team capabilities.
• Lead large-scale projects from concept to implementation across multiple functions.
• Communicate insights, risks, and tradeoffs to technical and executive audiences.
• Develop analytical tools, metrics, and reporting frameworks for strategic decisions.
• Apply network design, routing, scheduling, optimization, and scenario modeling.
