Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager Logistics in Normal, IL to lead the Distribution Center and supervise warehousing and transportation operations.

You will maintain direct customer communications and drive performance, safety, and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes leadership of supervisors, accountability for results, and collaboration with clients to deliver first‑class logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or related field
• 5+ years managing, leading and developing direct reports
• 3+ years Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
• 1+ year customer interaction preferred

Responsibilities

• Interface directly with the customer to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Strategic operational planning and execution for the operation.
• Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives.
• Hire, supervise, develop and manage performance for employees and maintain a positive employee relations environment at assigned account(s).
• Lead a proactive safety program within the work group(s) to provide a safe work environment and enforce safety plans and training.
