Job summary

Nestlé USA in Illinois is seeking a Senior Logistics Coordinator to manage transportation load planning and order management prior to shipment, ensuring on-time delivery and effective handling of recovery.

You will collaborate with customer service, carriers, facilities, and deployment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate planning data in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, with a college education preferred.
• Transportation and/or logistics experience preferred.
• Experience in a tactical and fast-paced office environment.
• Professional approach to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Execute product transportation efficiently and effectively by leveraging available tools and processes to surpass service expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service, carriers, facilities, and deployment, while maintaining a professional demeanor in all forms of communication.
• Demonstrate initiative and make informed decisions independently, considering customer needs, facility requirements, and carrier capacity, while escalating issues as necessary.
• Support the Nestlé Operational Master Plan and Continuous Process Improvement initiatives.
• Address and resolve conflicts and discrepancies in a positive, professional, and timely manner.
• Create fully optimized freight orders and oversee day-to-day carrier management.
