Job summary

Meta seeks an experienced leader to build and manage its local government affairs for data center site strategy across the United States. You will lead a team of regional local policy managers and personally handle priorities in key localities.

The ideal candidate has deep experience in local/state public policy, policy advocacy, and team leadership, with a strong understanding of technology policy and community engagement. Position reports to the Director of State Policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, business/strategy, economics, legal, communications, public relations, or related field.
• 12+ years in local or state public policy, advocacy, or government affairs.
• Experience managing teams, including people managers or senior individual contributors.
• Experience with local/state policymakers and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of technology, infrastructure, data center and economic development policy.
• Experience cross-functionally with internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience creating advocacy campaigns with milestones for policy goals.
• Creative problem-solving, negotiation, and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a regional policy team; set strategy and priorities for local engagement.
• Build and execute a national local government affairs strategy for data center objectives.
• Work with local policymakers to advance data center investment, permitting, and development.
• Monitor political environments and identify opportunities to advance policy goals.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure/Data Center teams to align policy with site timelines.
